My 7yr old finally lost her 1st tooth She was wiggling it forever. She shows me, we put it on the counter to show Dad when he gets home. Her brother (3yr.) takes it off the counter and swallows it. She immediately wants me to "get it out of him". I told her that the only way to get it out is for it to come out on its own. She mandates that we follow Jake in the bathroom until the tooth is recovered.
I told my sister the whole story and she said I could borrow one of hers. "One of hers, What?" She said that she has kept all of her teeth from childhood and I could use one and say it "was recovered". Brilliant! She comes over and hands me "the tooth". The tooth she brings is a fricken molar. She said that she couldn't find her baby teeth and all she could find were her molars. So we follow Jake into the bathroom with the kids fish net scooper & the tooth. The tooth is recovered. I quickly go to the sink and wash it off and show it to her. She looks at it and asks why it's so much bigger. I told her that the tooth soaked up all of the food in his belly and it just really bloated.
