My 20 month old son and I had just returned from visiting family in Tennessee. My husband was unable to pick us up from the airport as he works odd hours. We were gone for 5 days and had limited phone conversations since our time was packed. Evidently during our plane ride home, our son picked up some kind of virus. When my husband arrived home at 1:00 a.m. on the day of our return, he came into our bedroom to be greeted by a son covered in vomit (curdled milk, grapes, and green beans), his wife in a t-shirt covered in the same AND his bed, again, covered in same. I immediately handed him our son so I could change clothes - all without even saying hello. After we gave our son a bath, I changed clothes and we removed the sheets from our bed and threw more on, he looked at me and simply said "I'm glad you are home . . . . I think."
