While my parents were vacationing, I took care of their dog, Buck. I had two kids under two. Buck is afraid of thunderstorms! While I was dog-sitting, my MIL and her mother came to visit. The dogs stayed in the screened in porch. We had a thunder storm one afternoon, while I was getting dog food. When we pulled into the subdivision, where I live, who do you think we saw running down the street in the pouring rain? Yup, Buck... The car was full of in-laws and babies, and no one wanted a wet dog, too. So I jumped out, and walked him home with just his collar in the pouring rain! He had jumped from the futon through the top of the screen on the porch! Later the same afternoon I had a Dr's appointment and took my 16 month old daughter while the in-laws took my month old, strictly breastfed son to the store. He cried and they panicked and came back to the Dr....in the meantime, my daughter grabbed my new gl[filtered] and broke them! My cell phone quit working, and another thunder storm decided to roll in. I brought Buck into the living room. Every clap of thunder he was trying to jump into my lap, with my son, who had just spit up everywhere!
