Whenever my 6-year-old daughter comes home saying such-and-such said a mean thing to her or to another student, I tell her, "You should feel sorry for the bully because obviously his parents don't him enough to teach him right from wrong. Imagine what it must be like for that bully to live his whole life with parents who don't love him!"
