When I left for college my parents were undergoing a separation, later to become a divorce. To ease the troubles and distract the kids, my mother bought two beta-fish, one for each of my younger siblings. My little sister asked her why the beta fishies (also brother and sister) couldn't live in the same bowl. My mother said, "Well, the beta fishes love each other, and they like to look at each other from far away, but if they live in the same bowl they will kill each other." And my baby sister looked up and said, "Oh, like you and daddy?"
