"Hurry up honey, we've got to go to Sainsburys now!" I snapped at my youngest daughter who was standing in the hallway waiting for her imaginary friend called Nellie to come from down the stairs.
"Not yet mummy, Nellie isn't ready and i'm not going without her!" She replied and very serious.
To begin with I thought she was joking. "Come on Nellie!" I shouted from outside of the door. We've got to gooooo now!"
Half an hour later, I was still standing outside of my front door waiting for my daughter; and Nellie to finish her sandwich....

It is easy to see who is in charge. She was just testing you to see how long you would wait. And of course you will wait as long as she wants you to, because she is in charge not you. Just wait untill she is about fifteen she will be even more in controll.
