When my husband picked up our 4 year old at preschool this week the director pulled him aside and asked if everything was alright.

A bit startled by the question he replied yes???

Well today in circle time my daughter said to the class "My grandfather went to JAIL for 4 years and then they made him go to another place so he could learn the law."

The director thinking ponzi scheme, finance, etc...was concerned with her statement to the pre-k class.

Well after hearing the exact wording by our 4 year-old daughter my husband was able to correct the paragraph.

"My father went to YALE and then after he graduated he attended HARVARD LAW SCHOOL so he could learn more about the law.

NOT JAIL but YALE - Needless to say the other children went home to recreate our daughter's statement and we have been trying to explain ourselves in the preschool pick up line ever since.

We live in San Francisco and might just be screwed with Kindergarden based on her statement. oh lala
